What is Animal Reiki?
Reiki is a holistic healing modality for stress reduction, relaxation, and spiritual growth that also promotes healing.
Reiki is a simple, natural, and safe method of energy healing that anyone can use. It also works in conjunction with all other medical, veterinary, and therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.
Reiki can also be used with animals, and animals tend to love it. Reiki can help animals in the same ways it helps humans: to balance and nourish the physical body, and to balance mental and emotional energy.
Reiki is particularly effective in helping animals who have been traumatized, or who are experiencing physical or behavioral difficulties. Reiki in combination with telepathic animal communication can assist animals in very powerful ways.
Animal Reiki is Reiki practiced with an understanding and awareness of the unique considerations of using Reiki with animals. Reiki is Reiki; there is no difference in the Reiki energy when used with animals or humans. However, sharing Reiki with animals can differ from sharing Reiki with humans, and Animal Reiki Practitioners understand and are trained to work with these differences.
In Animal Reiki, you’ll learn:
- how animals experience and receive Reiki (it’s often different from humans!)

- how to allow an animal to determine her own preferences in a Reiki session
- tips and tools for sharing Reiki with companion, shelter and rescued animals, and wild animals

Animal Reiki Online Class Structure
Prerequisite: You must be a certified Reiki Practitioner (Reiki Level 1 or higher in any Reiki tradition or lineage) to enroll in this class.

The class is organized in 2 Modules, plus and Introduction, that you can access and work with on your own schedule.

About Nancy Windheart, Reiki Master-Teacher
Reiki is one of the most powerful tools that I use in my daily personal life, as well as in my animal communication and intuitive healing practice. As a Reiki Master-Teacher (I am a Professional Member of the International Association of Reiki Professionals), I use Reiki daily for myself, my animal family, and with my human and animal clients.
My journey with Reiki started after I began my professional practice as an animal communicator. I was interested in Reiki because I wanted additional tools that I could offer to my clients and their animals, particularly those who were healing from trauma, or had emotional, behavioral, or physical issues that could benefit from the supportive holistic healing energy that Reiki provides.
I was initially drawn to Reiki as a supportive service that I could offer to my clients and their animal friends. What I didn’t expect, really, was how much Reiki would change my life.
As a Reiki Master-Teacher, my mission is to share the gift of Reiki and to train people who wish to become Reiki Practitioners. Because of my work as an animal communicator, Reiki for animals is a large part of my professional and teaching practice. Reiki has also become an intimate part of my personal spiritual practice, connecting me more deeply to source energy and the divine love that is available to all beings.

Ruzuku Course Platform
This course is taught on the Ruzuku platform.
Here’s the deal: I’ve been a teacher all of my working life, and I have (ahem) more than a fair bit of experience, including high school, university, and adult education programs. I know a wee something or two about curriculum design.
So, I’m fussy about how I teach what I teach.

How is Reiki for animals different than Reiki for humans?
Reiki is Reiki; there is no difference in the Reiki energy whether it is used with humans or animals.
How humans and animals receive Reiki, however, can vary greatly. When sharing Reiki with animals, it’s important to understand these differences. The Animal Reiki classes address this topic specifically, and help Reiki practitioners learn to share Reiki effectively with animals.
What is the difference between Reiki and other forms of energy healing?
Everything in our world is energy. Everything is comprised of vibration or frequency. The higher the vibrational frequency, the more ethereal it is. The lower the vibrational frequency, the more dense or solid it is.
There are many forms of healing energy and Reiki is one form which assists in healing by increasing the vibrational frequency of anything or anyone it is focused on. Reiki is just one of many of the healing frequencies, with its own unique energy signature and vibration.
Is Reiki a religion?
No, Reiki is not part of any specific religious practice or tradition. Working with the Reiki energy can help enhance one’s religious or spiritual practice, but it is not a religion within itself. Reiki is practiced by people within many spiritual traditions, and it is also practiced by people who have no religious or spiritual belief system.
I have never taken an online class before. Do I need special technical skills?
No special technical skills are required! All you need is a computer or mobile device with Internet access, an email address, and a telephone for the live calls.
The Ruzuku platform is designed to be easy to use, even for novice online learners. The Ruzuku support staff is excellent and consistently available.
How long will I have access to the online class materials?
The class materials will be available indefinitely on the Ruzuku platform.
Will there be Question and Answer times for this class?
No. Open Access classes do not offer Q&A times via calls or email.
