In a few days, I’ll be traveling to Baja California Sur, Mexico, with Anne and a group of 10 women for our Journey to Baja: Pilgrimage of the Heart. As this is the last time we’ll be facilitating this trip, at least in this format, it’s a bittersweet time as I prepare both physically and spiritually for our journey.
In our previous Baja pilgrimages, we’ve received so many deep and profound blessings from the land, the water, and all of the beautiful inhabitants, human and non-human, who partner with us. You can read more about some of our experiences here:
Save the Humans: The Whales of Baja
For me, the greatest joy of these trips is our connection with my beloved cetacean friends and teachers, particularly the blue and grey whales who are the inspiration for our journey.
Over the years that I have worked as an interspecies communicator, I’ve come to understand that there are individuals and groups of animals who have a particular mission with humans, with our planet, and who hold deep levels of wisdom and spiritual awareness that we as a human species are rarely able to access.
In particular, individuals and groups of cetaceans around the planet are coming forward and inviting interaction and connection with humans in more and more intimate ways.
I regard the whales and the dolphins as some of our most advanced evolutionary leaders and spiritual teachers. They hold vast depths of wisdom, understanding, and awareness, and many of them are inviting humans to connect with them and to share their water, their environment, and in some cases, as with the grey whales of Baja, have physical contact with them. In doing so, they are transmitting their energy, wisdom, and multi-dimensional understanding to us.
We’ve been privileged to participate in deep prayer and meditation circles with these incredible teachers…and have received energy transmissions from them that have rewired my entire being and have changed my life forever. Being in their presence is like nothing else I’ve experienced…it is an experience for which there are no words, only depths of feeling and multi-dimensional somatic understanding.
We are facilitating this journey because we have been called…an inspiration and an invitation that came specifically from the whales of Baja. The women who are joining us have also been called…women from all over the world are coming together for this pilgrimage as a result of something deep inside being pulled like a magnet to this particular experience, at this particular time.
We don’t understand it all…or know what we will experience and learn…but we trust that we have been invited to co-create in a sacred circle with these master teachers and advanced beings who hold the deepest wisdom of the planet in their bodies and their spirits.
I’ll be honest: this is an intense and volatile time in our world. The whales and other non-humans are aware of this…and I believe that our work together on this retreat will be orchestrated and directed by these master teachers of Baja who may understand much more than we do about why we’re there.
